The Problem...

The Answer!

To come up with a refreshed look for a "Three-Step End Page" of a Reboot of Any Nickelodeon IP from the 90’s or Early 00’s.

It has to also fit in with Nickelodeon's new branding, so it doesn't feel out of place on air.

Making sure to summarize the mood, energy and theme of the chosen show, all while giving matching visual aid to the tune in narration.

Make something with great animation and design...
It's gotta "WOW" the kids watchin!

Storyboards, Sketches & Pitch!

Here, I focused on making sure that the transitions were engaging and dynamic as they were aimed for kids. I also thought about elements from the show itself - Manny's struggle with good or evil, and other motifs the creator (Jorge Gutierrez) already established, with a big focus on the cultural aspect

Critique from Nick!

I reached out to two animators (Gonzalo Janer & Victor Sarria) from Nickelodeon's internal graphics team, and was very thankful for the opportunity to get some good critique!

Animation

The main critique with the animation was that while it hit the feeling of something you'd watch as an ad, there were little moments that could be tweaked, such as making the tail cel animation smoother.

Design

The design *feels* like it's an elevated version of the show, so same notes again, make sure there's no technical errors and we're good to go! Phew! In the clear.
